Thomas Headon's career started today, as is so often the case, on the Internet. With his playful alt-pop and lyrics rich in happy tales of teenage flirtation, he represents Generation Z perfectly. In addition to the virtual world, Headon plays in the real world and plays its headline shows and festival appearances in front of thousands of fans around the world.
Thomas Headon is fast becoming the new poster boy for indie pop. His intimate, diary-like approach recalls the songwriting of 1975 Matty Healy, of whom he is a fan, as well as Radiohead, Blur, Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles. Triple J hailed him as a "stunning force in pop music" and a BBC Radio 1 program crashed the chatbox with the inordinate number of fans wanting to ask him questions.
He has released three EPs so far. He already called the first "The Greatest Hits", the second cheekily said "The Goodbye", then came "Victoria". At the moment he is working on his debut album, with which he will come to Berlin in October.
