The new piece “TOURNAMENT” brings dance and music together in a new way. Five dancers and a music ensemble use skill and creativity to question and rethink classical forms.Adam Linder’s choreographies are devoted to the specifics of dance, combining innovative approaches to movement and performativity.

His new piece, “TOURNAMENT”, which is set to a specially commissioned score by Ethan Braun, reflects the historical interplay between music and dance. Inspired by the notion that to challenge classical forms you need to perfect them first, this work merges technical virtuosity and artistic experimentation. The stage turns into a playing field, where musicians of the Solistenensemble Kaleidoskop and five dancers negotiate the myth of harmonious unity.
