By bicycle or on foot, the spatial and historical contexts of this urban open space are presented. Individual areas and biotopes are specifically explored depending on the season and the diverse biological features that can be found at a former airport are made comprehensible. In the process, we will introduce you to natural history features as well as interactions between farm animals, wildlife, and the resident vegetation, and also draw a broad arc to the urban ecological significance of large undeveloped open spaces.
