Les Mamans du Congo & Rrobin

Les Mamans du Congo transform everyday objects and kitchen utensils into musical instruments. Their fellow musicians form a powerful choir. They have teamed up with French hip-hop and electronic producer Rrobin to bring a stirring and danceable combination of Bantu work songs and lullabies with elements of hip-hop and Afro-house to the stage.

The emancipation of Congolese women and the preservation and dissemination of Congolese cultural heritage are the two goals that Gladys Samba had in mind when she founded her group Les Mamans du Congo. She repeatedly takes the stage to denounce injustices and offer her expertise on issues affecting the everyday lives of women in Brazzaville.

André Marie Tala & The Tchamassi Band

For more than 55 years, André Marie Tala has influenced generations of musicians and several musical styles with Tchamassi, his form of Afro-jazz. He repeatedly asserts his influence politically in his native Cameroon, taking a stand, getting involved and speaking out against injustice and corruption.

From June to August, the third edition of the Sonic Pluriverse music festival brings bass, beats and stories of resistance to the HKW roof terrace.
