Berlin has a thing with former airports. Berlin-Tempelhof Airport was closed in 2008, and 12 years later Berlin-Tegel also had to accept it. And the Kiezpoeten have a thing with poetry slams in unusual places.

KEY VISUAL Slam To Ride
They have already played in the Spreepark Berlin, the Teufelsberg, the Gardens of the World... so what could be more obvious than putting poets on a moving stage and letting the audience ride behind the stage on bicycles while using wireless headphones finest slam poetry can be heard.
Born in 2020 as Poetry Slam To Go, the cooperation with silent.move has since developed significantly. And for the first time there is the Slam To Ride. 90 minutes of the best poetry slam entertainment, moderated by Samson, on the disused runways of TEGEL Airport, now called "Tegeler Stadtheide". This is the perfect way to end the summer.

Attention, bringing your own bike is mandatory.
Safety vests compulsory. Please bring one. Unfortunately, access is not permitted without a vest. Write if you need one. There are a few vests on site.
Endurance
The route extends to almost 8 km. A basic level of fitness is required, especially if you come with rollerblades / roller skates. But we'll take a short break in the middle. E-bikes / scooters should still have at least this number of kilometers of battery capacity. We drive at about 11 km/h.

You should definitely be able to ride a bicycle or similar, but your bike should also be roadworthy. A bicycle breakdown during the tour should be avoided in advance, as it ties up security personnel.
