SHADOWLAND tells an emotional and enchanting coming-of-age story, celebrating the power of transformation with the limitless possibilities of dreams and the grace of acrobatic dance. The athletic bodies of the exceptional dancers combine modern dance and ballet with shadow theater, multimedia and light - framed by the moving sound paintings of the film composer David Poe.
The Pilobolus Dance Theater from the USA, founded in 1971, has already delighted more than 1.5 million viewers in 34 countries on four continents with SHADOWLAND. The unique shadow theater enchanted an audience of billions at the Oscars in 2007, was on the "Oprah Winfrey Show" (USA) and on "Wetten, dass...?"
