Restored Film

Count Paul Mensdorf ran away from home as a child and joined a travelling circus. Many years later, he returns to his home town of Berlin, now as the world-famous trapeze artist Frattani.

Risk accompanies him at every turn during his act, and his daring variety act promises thrills – for the audience both on screen and in the cinema. During his absence, Paul’s devious, treacherous stepfather, Baron von Mallock, has exploited his wealthy mother to finance his extravagant lifestyle. The Baron now sees this lifestyle threatened by Paul’s return. And he is prepared to go to any lengths to prevent Paul from getting what is rightfully his.
