Sculpture, tapestries, painting on ceramics
Selina Baumann creates biomorphic, organic sculptures out of ceramics. They resemble jellyfish, bacteria, extraterrestrial beings, pillars and other beings and forms. For Selina Baumann, her sculptures are, as she calls them, “mystical beings”.

Despite being made of hard and heavy ceramic, the sculptures appear to be in constant flux and are characterized by the imperfect. The view should be disturbed by the sculptures, the hands should feel the need to touch the sculptures and straighten them.
