The Australian is praised for his own recordings and is considered one of the hottest songwriters of today. He has worked with the likes of Ciara, Cat Burns, Lennon Stella, Louis Tomlinson, Elle King, Jessie J, Virginia To Vegas and many others - the collab What Other People Say with Demi Lovato brought Sam Fischer back into the international charts.
Most recently, the single "High On You" with colleague Amy Shark was released. The song is carried by acoustic guitars which are the gentle underpinnings of the vocal harmonies between Sam and Amy. The song is an example of the musician's basic approach to his tracks: music and lyrics must form a unit and make the character of the piece audible, because only then can the listener feel what it is about.
