On this evening, Roman Shamov will talk, amongst other things, about the contrast between his Jewish and, at the same time, Muslim genetic heritage; a quiet childhood that forced him to make himself heard; his bizarre relationship with a GDR massage device; the long queues outside Berghain, his love for men and women and for electronic music, breath therapy and stage fright, as well as the joy of self-revelation both in front of and behind the microphone.
He’ll also be discussing transgenerational trauma and how he finds ways to cope with it.
