How is the current violence in Europe transforming our view of history? This event explores the impact of Russia’s war of aggression on contemporary Ukrainian remembrance culture and museum work related to World War II.

The focus is on modern, societal forms of remembrance as well as the working conditions of historical learning sites in the context of war. We also draw a connection to Berlin’s landscape of remembrance and invite reflection on German and Ukrainian perspectives.
