With a tradition spanning more than 450 years, the Staatskapelle Berlin is one of the oldest orchestras in the world. Since 2020, conductor Petr Popelka, who comes from Prague, has taken over the direction of the Norwegian Radio Orchestra. In May 2025 he can be seen together with the American pianist Emanuel Ax in the subscription concert VII.
