In his solo exhibition A rainy day in May, Kevin Lüdicke presents a selection of new works in which graphic precision is combined with spontaneous, associative moments.
The starting point is everyday impressions – a line, a drop, a plant – which develop into multi-layered pictorial structures. The works oscillate between drawing and painting, between figuration and free form.
The central motif is organic growth: elements appear casual at first, but then fit into their own pictorial logic. Colourful accents, recurring motifs and subtle shifts structure the space.
The works are complemented by installations in the exhibition space, in which water appears as a fleeting but connecting element.
