POWER SHAME is a tribute to the emotion of shame. Shameborn is a queer werewolf that strives towards the longed-for act of liberation. It is a full moon. An Easter celebration ends in a massacre. How does shame give birth to an inner monster?
Queerness rides on rage to unveil internalized homophobia, transgress the boundaries of propriety and disrupt social perspectives of heteronormativity. Shameborn makes her stage debut and claims her spot amongst queer beasts. Shame is celebrated, crushed and rejected – but most of all exposed.
