The show at the Kommunale Galerie Berlin reviews the PHOTOPLATZ in the legendary Hotel Bogota 10 years after its closure.

In the period from 2006 to 2013, a total of 73 exhibitions took place at PHOTOPLATZ. Artists such as Gerhard Kassner and Robert Lebeck, Ursula Kelm and Ina Schröder, Antoine D`Agata and Amélie Losier have exhibited here. In the temporary situation of a hotel stay, the photographs offered guests moments of pause, of letting themselves be touched, of conversation. The PHOTOPLATZ opened up a space for critical discussion.
Over the years, Joachim Rissmann, curator of the exhibition and former manager of the hotel, has created a collection of photographs from the exhibitions. In addition to these photographs, invitation cards and photographs taken at the hotel itself provide information about the PHOTOPLATZ era.
