Robert and Ronald Lippok

"Ornament & Verbrechen" was founded in East Berlin in 1983 as a band and platform by the artists and musicians Robert and Ronald Lippok. With their cross-border art and electronic music, they influenced the underground music scene and art scene of the late GDR as well as contemporary movements after 1990 in Europe.

In the exhibition spaces of the gallery, the Lippok brothers will develop a new site-specific space and sound installation in which their sound and visual worlds meet, but also include, for example, sounds from the outside space.

In addition, historical instruments and artefacts will be on display in the exhibition, and the history and development of "Ornament & Crime" will be reappraised and presented on the basis of archive materials.
