The Museum for Communication on Leipziger Strasse is a monument with a 125-year history. On the Open Monument Day, everything revolves around the eventful history of the building.
On the second Sunday in September, many thousands of monuments open their gates free of charge for the Open Monument Day. The Museum for Communication Berlin will be there this year with behind-the-scenes activities, guided tours and a colorful children's program.
The Museum for Communication on Leipziger Strasse is a monument with a 125-year history. On the Open Monument Day, everything revolves around the eventful history of the building:
the new photo exhibition “125 years in the middle of Berlin. Photos on the history of the museum" shows historical views, an architectural tour takes visitors on a journey through the eventful history of the magnificent building.
Kids can be creative architects and build their own mini-museum.
The current special exhibition “Everyday Crisis – Communication in the Pandemic” and the permanent exhibition “From Hand Ax to Smartphone” are also accessible free of charge on this day.
