In 1926, Berlin architect Jean Krämer designed the Gesundbrunnen tram depot, creating impressive workshops that combine the clean lines of New Objectivity with expressive motifs and remain dedicated to the art of movement today—just as they were during the BVG era.

On Open Monument Day, visitors can explore the former complex in its current use as a research and production space for contemporary dance.

The guided tours offer insight into the beauty of former industrial architecture and its current use. They also demonstrate how, through a collaborative effort, a large site was saved from speculative development in favor of a rich cultural life.

In addition, on both days, visitors can attend a performance by Tanzfabrik Berlin BÜHNE in Studio 14 as well as the Funkelfest Family Rave in the boiler house.
