"Out of Darkness into Light" is the title of a new exhibition of works by Ono Ludwig, which will be opened at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at the Kommunale Galerie Berlin by City Councillor for Culture Heike Schmitt-Schmelz and the director of the Kommunale Galerie, Elke von der Lieth.

The work show will present excerpts from different phases of Ludwig's creative work. Ono Ludwig, born in 1968, lives and works in Wilmersdorf. Trained as a painter, photographer and designer, he has developed an extensive body of work over the course of his career, ranging from figurative painting and photography to experimental abstract photography including light painting and ink painting on paper. His most recent series, such as Darklands, Life Waves, and Square and Circle, depict moving landscapes of geometric forms.

Kate Brehme of Berlinklusion, the network for accessibility in art and culture, founded by artists, curators, art educators and mediators with and without disabilities, will introduce the exhibition. The Kommunale Galerie Berlin thus continues the series of exhibitions on diversity development in the field of visual arts.
