Odeal is an artist whose biography is steeped in cultural diversity. Born in Germany and raised in Nigeria, Spain, and the UK, he blends global influences into his signature Alté sound – a fusion of Afrobeats, dancehall, reggae, hip-hop, and alternative R&B.
With his mix of Afro-genres, pop, and R&B, Odeal has long been considered one of the leading figures in the UK's burgeoning Alté scene. His music combines introspective storytelling with warm R&B melodies and rhythmic Afrobeats. This style has brought him international success: His single "Soh-Soh" reached number 12 on the US Afrobeats Songs chart, and in 2024 he played sold-out shows in New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto, as well as his first sold-out concerts in Germany. In 2025, Billboard named the British artist "African Rookie of the Year."
Odeal returns to Berlin in 2026. His “The Shows That Saved Me Tour” accompanies the release of his new EP, “The Fall That Saved Us.” He can be seen live in Berlin at Huxleys.
Odeal also thinks in terms of concepts musically. Between 2020 and 2022, he released a cohesive series of mixtapes and EPs with the OVMBR project, followed by works such as “Thoughts I Never Said,” the EP “Sunday At Zuri’s” including his hit “Soh-Soh,” and the mixtape “Lustropolis.” In 2025, he started a new chapter with “The Summer That Saved Me” before continuing this concept with “The Fall That Saved Us.”
