BRD 1978, Director: Werner Herzog

Wismar in the 19th century: Jonathan Harker goes on a business trip to Transylvania to the castle of a mysterious count, who turns out to be a vampire. "Infected" by him, he flees home. But the vampire is already ahead of him and spreads the plague on the spot. Harker's wife Lucy, through her sacrifice, manages to have Nosferatu destroyed by the first rays of the morning sun. But her husband, who has become a vampire, now spreads disaster in the world himself.
