NoonSong - a choral liturgy every Saturday at noon

In the NoonSong for Palm Sunday, the entire Passion account is heard, this time in a setting by Heinrich Schütz. This Passion is a late work by the composer, who was inspired by Gregorian chant for the monophonic recitations of the Evangelist, but composed it completely new. By voluntarily limiting himself to the human singing voice alone, abandoning any instruments, Schütz succeeded in creating a musical mediation that immediately gets under the skin.
