NoonSong - Song & Prayer

Bach's great motets are unrivaled masterpieces of
sacred choral music. Mozart revered them as instructive study
material. The music has moved and comforted people in a unique way
for centuries. To this day, however, musicologists argue about the
genesis of the motet "Fürchte dich nicht." It is possible
that it is an early work and was already composed in Weimar.

  • Preces: William Smith (1603-1645): Preces & Responses
  • Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750): Fürchte dich nicht, ich bin bei dir (BWV 228)
  • Canticum: Wolfgang Figulus (1525-1589): Meine Seel erhebt den Herren
  • Choral: Johann Anastasius Freylinghausen (1670-1739): Lass mich, o Herr, in allen Dingen
