An evening after Dorothy Parker

The play reflects the work and influence of the U.S. writer and theater critic Dorothy Parker, whose life and extraordinary personality are closely interwoven with her work. Excerpts from her stories, poems and reviews are combined with biographical, invented and of course her famous sayings. With Dorothy Parker we experience the atmosphere of the 1920s in the USA, which she helped to create and which also shapes our European culture to the present day.

Her commitment against injustice, her sharp eye for the contradictions and vulnerability of her fellow human beings, her non-conformity and unconditional independence as a woman make Dorothy Parker a fascinating figure of her era and a role model for every generation. For the role of this brilliant woman we were able to win one of the most distinguished singers of our time, Sophia Euskirchen!
