Rooted in the actor and creator’s personal experiences, the piece opens up broader questions about identity. It combines documentary and autofictional approaches and was developed through a rigorous dramaturgical process by the playwright, actor, and director. It draws both on the actor’s lived experience and on research into the realities of other trans people.
The NO GENDER project responds to the urgent need for spaces in which diversity is visible, real, legitimate, and accessible.
It is essential to name and examine the structural violence faced by sexual and gender minorities, including its intersectional dimensions. At the same time, the project invites us to understand inequality and privilege not as individual experiences alone, but as systemic realities that affect us all, whether or not we belong to the LGBTQIA+ community.
