What happens when there’s no room for emotions? When pressure, arguments, and uncertainty suddenly erupt in the schoolyard?

In *WIR*, Kossi S. Aholou-Wokawui uses dance, acting, and plenty of humor to explore the intense emotions of childhood. Amid games, scuffles, and tests of courage, children encounter one another as friends, outsiders, leaders, or followers.

Dancers and performers Dessa Ganda and Meier Eden bring heightened everyday situations to the stage with movement, energy, and wit—sometimes loud, sometimes vulnerable, sometimes funny.

This moving dance theater piece about bullying, dealing with anger, and the search for belonging asks where all that energy goes when even children’s everyday lives are becoming faster-paced and more demanding—and powerfully illustrates the importance of solidarity, the ability to resolve conflicts, and the need to be seen.
