Guided tours through the neighborhoods of Neukölln with Reinhold Steinle
This amusing and informative city tour shows the different facets of Neukölln. The guide is Reinhold Steinle - born in Swabia and a Berliner by heart. Mr. Steinle has been a city guide in Berlin-Neukölln for over ten years. No one knows the Neukölln neighborhoods as well as Reinhold Steinle does.
Richardplatz is the historic center of North Neukölln and has retained its village character to this day. Here the village Richardsdorp was founded by the Order of St. John in 1360. Near Richardplatz the Bohemian Village was founded in 1737 by Bohemian exiles.
The guided tour goes into more detail about the history of the Bohemians in Neukölln. You will also learn interesting facts about the renaming of Rixdorf to Neukölln as well as about the smithy, Bethlehem Church and other historical buildings on Richardplatz.
