Museum visits can be overwhelming. Visitors read a lot, look at a variety of artworks and objects, and try to decipher the stories behind them for themselves. In the process, however, they may fail to do one thing: look closely! Some works speak to the viewer without realizing why. With others, the viewers can't really do anything at first, but can't put into words what it is.

With the dialogical guided tour format "NahAufnahme" new approaches to art are discovered: whether to the "old acquaintance" Karl Hagemeister or to current positions of Berlin contemporary art.

After the museum closes, take the time to delve deeper into selected works of the exhibition in a private atmosphere in a small group. There is no "right" or "wrong" way. Together you will discover the works, independent of art historical basics. No previous knowledge is necessary, just active participation.

Important note: Payment and drop-off of jackets must be made before 6 p.m., please report to the museum box office at 5:45 p.m.
