FILTHY UNDERNEATH Winter Tour
Since her debut album with the terrific title "Love Your Dum And Mad" in 2013, she has now published five strong albums. The most recent was the powerful, emotional, abysmal "Filthy Underneath" in February, which shows Nadine Shah lyrically and musically on top of her game.
She even deals with topics such as her own experiences of sexual abuse, depression and suicidal thoughts in songs that should appeal to anyone who loves PJ Harvey, Nick Cave, Marianne Faithfull and Chelsea Wolfe.
Shah, who has Norwegian and Pakistani roots and was raised in England, says: "I feel far less restricted than ever before when writing lyrics and making music. There's something extremely liberating about people knowing your most intimate story. I will never be able to be a secretive artist. It's too late for that. But maybe some of my story will speak to the listener."
The fact that she adds a "maybe" here can be read as a British understatement, because you can see just how much she does this at her intense concerts - and there will be a few of them in November. She will be performing live in four German cities from November 8th.
