Many Jewish composers enriched European musical life before the Shoah. During the Nazi era, her works were banned from concert halls and the memory of her work was erased. The consequences to this day: their names are largely unknown, and their plays are rarely performed.

The Gernsheim Duo brings music by forgotten composers back to the concert stage. Appearances have taken it to Japan. In 2019 it released the world's first recording of songs by its namesake Friedrich Gernsheim (1839-1916), who worked in Berlin for a long time and is buried in the Weißensee Jewish Cemetery.

Songs by Friedrich Gernsheim (1839-1916), Karl Goldmark (1830-1915), Salomon Jadassohn (1831-1902) and others

With: Gernsheim-Duo: Anna Gann (soprano), Naoko Christ-Kato (piano)
