Music on two stages, open museums, lively squares and a programme for all generations: on 21 June, the Nikolaiviertel will be transformed into a vibrant festival site as part of the Fête de la Musique.
On June 21, the Nikolaiviertel will transform into a lively festival venue as part of the Fête de la Musique. For the second time, the Stadtmuseum Berlin is combining its Museum Festival with the Fête de la Musique and invites you to rediscover Old Berlin. The museums open at 10 a.m., guided tours begin at 2 p.m., creative activities follow at 3 p.m., and the stage program starts at 4 p.m.
History Meets Music
Look forward to a diverse music program on two stages. Experience the talented singer-songwriter Oranya, captivating sounds from around the world performed by various Berlin choirs, music with groove and heart for children from Richards Musikladen, or German-language pop by Trille.
Also, discover the historic Nikolaiviertel on exciting guided tours, and visit the exhibitions at the Knoblauchhaus Museum, the Nikolaikirche Museum, and the Ephraim-Palais Museum.
Get exclusive insights into the collections, build musical instruments with your children, dance in the breakdance workshop, and test your knowledge in our museum quiz.
- Hosts: Anjouna Novak, Melanie Huber

Please note: Video and photo recordings will be made during the museum festival and may be used indefinitely for public relations purposes by the Stiftung Stadtmuseum Berlin. By participating, you agree that these recordings may be published.
Parking around the Nikolaiviertel is very limited. We recommend using public transportation.
On Rathausstraße, about 150 meters from the museum, there are two public parking spaces for people with disabilities. The “Nikolaiviertel” bus stop is about 150 meters away, and the “Rotes Rathaus” bus stop and subway station are about 500 meters away.
The paths in the Nikolaiviertel are moderately accessible on foot and by vehicle due to the cobblestone pavement.
In case of bad weather: the program schedule is subject to change at short notice.
