From Friday, 3rd to Sunday, 5th October 2025, the first German MUBI FEST Berlin will take place, the cinema festival organised by MUBI, a global film distributor, streaming service and production company.
Over three consecutive days, silent green Kulturquartier will celebrate cinema and film culture in all its facets with selected film screenings, international guests, talks, live music and get-togethers.
The first edition of MUBI FEST Berlin will kick off with the Berlin premiere of the quirky heist film THE MASTERMIND, starring Josh O'Connor in the lead role. Director Kelly Reichardt is returning to Europe for this occasion after the successful world premiere in Cannes to personally present the film at MUBI FEST Berlin. Also on offer: a hand-picked selection of special feature films, such as NO BEARS by Iranian director Jafar Panahi, the sensational feature film debut DIE TOCHTER (THE DAUGHTER) by Mascha Schilinski, and APRIL by Georgian director Dea Kulumbegashvili, who is expected to attend a Q&A in person at the silent green Kulturquartier. In addition to David Lynch's FIRE WALK WITH ME, there will be a screening of the pilot episode of the first season of his legendary series TWIN PEAKS. MUBI podcast host Rico Gagliano is looking forward to live recordings with director Kelly Reichardt, among others. The diverse MUBI FEST Berlin programme will be rounded off with captivating short films from the MUBI series SHORT FILMS BIG NAMES, in which some of the most renowned directors of our time demonstrate that cinematic greatness is not a question of film length.
The complete programme for MUBI FEST Berlin will be published at the same time as tickets go on sale on 10 September.
