What can they do together that they cannot do alone? This dance duet is a queer reinterpretation of the creation story. With patience, tenderness and prayer, they symbolize the many ways in which love can manifest itself. Intimacy makes it possible to break through and change ideas of violence, care, pleasure, play and gender.
Through performance, they make impossible conditions fruitful as an invitation into fleeting spaces where desire, guilt, grief and love intersect. They carry the complexity and paradox of being socialized female bodies that are queered and racialized. Sometimes they share a body and sometimes they splinter into the ether - inspiring each other and bringing each other back to earth in equal measure. What becomes possible when love is stronger than fear? They embody the wildest dreams of their queer ancestors.
