The vocal group VIP from Dresden presents the diverse world of the madrigal. From its origins in the 16th century in Italy, represented by masters such as Adrian Willaert and Orlando di Lasso, to modern interpretations of the first half of the 20th century by composers such as Richard Strauss and Francis Poulenc, the development of this musical form is shown.

The vocal group VIP is a young ensemble consisting of eight former members of the Dresden Kreuzchor and the Thomanerchor Leipzig. They are at home in Dresden and travel all over Germany and abroad with a cappella music from classical to pop.
