Singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams has been in the music business for over 40 years. In spring 2023, she will go on tour again and make a stop at the Heimathafen in Berlin-Neukölln. Her latest studio album "Good Souls Better Angels" also lives on her unique Americana sound, which moves between blues and folk, and is simply ageless. Of course, in addition to the new songs, she also has her best classics in her luggage.
About her new album she says: "The devil plays a pretty big role on this record. I've always loved the imagery in Robert Johnson's songs and that really gritty Delta blues that often sounds like it was taken straight out of the Old Testament. I also felt inspired by the songs of Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan and Nick Cave."
In the summer of 2021, she completed an acclaimed U.S. tour despite suffering a stroke in late November 2020. She just lives for music and music is her life.
