75 museums. 750 events. 1 ticket!

For the Long Night of Museums, museums, exhibition halls, planetariums, and memorial sites throughout Berlin open their doors and offer a diverse program including express tours, workshops, concerts, readings, artist talks, performances, and DJ sets.

Dark places, mysterious murders, and seedy clubs:

The 44th Long Night of Museums on August 29, 2026, will take place under the theme “Crime in Berlin.” That night, 75 museums will transport their visitors into the thrilling world of crime with around 750 events.

Around 50,000 people flock to the 75 Berlin museums each year, which stay open well past midnight.

Good to know

During the Long Night of Museums, there are numerous events that can be enjoyed without any knowledge of German – including concerts, DJ sets, performances, and workshops. Many museums also offer tours in English, and some even in other languages.

Entry to most of the 75 participating museums is possible at any time without waiting. However, longer waiting times may occur at some museums in Berlin-Mitte. In these cases, the museums will provide up-to-date information on their websites during the Long Night of Museums.

Shuttle buses on four lines transport visitors primarily to museums outside of Berlin-Mitte. The red line (from 7 pm) goes west, the yellow line (from 5 pm) goes north, and the green and blue lines go east and southeast (from 6 pm).
