Habitat Cemetery
Cemeteries are places of burial and remembrance, important habitats for flora and fauna, and popular green recreational areas for residents of the surrounding neighborhoods.
As part of Berlin's Sustainable Development Program (BENE), new opportunities for use and participation in the areas of environmental education, nature conservation, art and culture have been created on around 1.2 hectares of cemetery land that is no longer needed for burial. On a discovery tour in cooperation with NABU, you will get to know the project and the fascinating flora and fauna.
