Concert for Children and Adults

In 18th-century London, arias from the operas of George Frideric Handel were the pop hits of the day. As recordings obviously did not exist, people would often play these melodies in their homes. A particularly inventive publisher named John Walsh teamed up with Handel to create arrangements for flute and basso continuo, which became highly successful.

Leading an ensemble of Baroque specialists, recorder virtuoso Stefan Temmingh revives this festive and fun-filled tradition of music-making and takes audiences of all ages on a journey to the past.
