In March 2023, the new reading series "Literatur Aktion Wedding" started in the Ballhaus Prinzenallee. In four events, the diverse relationships between society and literature and the socio-cultural connections between migration, emancipation and class will be examined in a mixture of (scenic) readings and discussions.
Musician and writer Musa Okwonga will be a guest at the third event in the new reading series “Literature Action Wedding” with his debut novel “It was always just about love”.
In the first part of the evening, the actors Franziska Krol, Jonas Broxtermann and Christian Bojidar will read literary collages from the works of other authors, which Musa Okwonga has selected in advance according to the principle of the reading series "Readings in Context".
In the second part of the evening, Musa Okwonga will present his autofictional novel “It was always about love”, in which he tells of what it is like to arrive in Berlin and how to find your way there as a person of colour, how it is, friends to find, play soccer, fall in love and break up, eat cake and work as an author.
The readings will be followed by a discussion with Musa Okwonga and Martin Zähringer, the moderator and curator of the “Literature Action Wedding” reading series.
