The ensemble "astrophil & stella" presents pieces from the chanson print "Vingt et sept chansons musicales" by the Parisian music publisher Pierre Attaingnant from 1533 and looks through the mirror of the often melancholic compositions, which often hide all facets of human emotions under the courtly and bourgeois etiquette. For her concerto for transverse flute consort and lute, flutist Johanna Bartz, who was born in northern Germany and now lives in Basel, has gathered around her a top-class ensemble of specialists in Renaissance music.
In addition, the program on August 21 will also focus on new music for consort, including a sound installation. Those who wish can interactively participate in the audio installation by means of a QR code and their own cell phone.
Ensemble astrophil & stella:
Johanna Bartz, Mara Winter, Darina Ablogina and Eleonora Biscevic, renaissance traverso; Guilherme Barroso, lute.
Chansons and dances by Claudin de Sermisy, Guillaume de Heurteur, Jacotin Le Bel, and Nicholas Gombert from Pierre Attaignant's prints for traversoconsort and lute.
In the historic ambience of Lehnin Monastery, the Lehnin Summer Music Festival will present music from France from the 16th century to the present from July 3 to September 10.
