Cemeteries also suffer from climate change: droughts followed by heavy rains, heat waves and extreme weather changes affect the flora and fauna of these urban oases.
For the institutions responsible for these cemeteries and their biodiversity, the future is full of challenges:
How can these valuable urban ecosystems be preserved? What are the possibilities for the future? How can we transform our cities into "sponge cities" to improve climatic conditions for the people who live there?
Environmental experts provide a glimpse into the future and share their experiences with past climate change adaptation projects as well as new projects in the pipeline.

Besondere Hinweise: Los cementerios sufren también con el cambio climático: periodos de sequia seguidos de fuertes lluvias, olas de calor, y cambios climáticos extremos afectan a la fauna y flora que habitan estos oasis urbanos.
