Music theatre Prag with Johann-Strauß-Ballet Prag
All waltz? All polka? No other conductor knew how to translate his compositional creativity into countless melodic and now world-famous waltzes, mazurkas and polkas. The great Johann Strauss created a total of 16 operettas and innumerable pieces of music that still fascinate in their joyful effect 100 years after his death.
The Prague Music Theatre, known throughout Europe, brings highlights of this ingenuity to the stage with first-class soloists.
Unforgettable melodies such as "An der schönen blauen Donau" and waltzes from "Die Fledermaus" or "Eine Nacht in Venedig" provide bliss.
The star of the "silver age" of Viennese operetta is also honoured in this programme: Franz Léhar.
A few bars from "The Merry Widow" are enough to lighten the mood, make you want to sing, dance, and simply be carried away by the strong and cheerful melodies.
