Literatur LIVE

When did it rain for the first time? How can I predict the weather myself? Did a ray of sunshine make Monet famous? And is the swallow actually the better frog? Meteorologist Insa Thiele-Eich knows everything about the weather and much more.

In her book, Insa Thiele-Eich takes you on an entertaining and at the same time instructive journey through the world of clouds, winds and worm hotels - she shows why trees don't change color everywhere in autumn, why we become aggressive in the heat and what about old ones peasant rules on itself. Thiele-Eich not only conveys the basics of research in a funny and original way, but also bizarre facts: This guarantees that discussions about the weather will never be boring again.

dr Insa Thiele-Eich, born in Heidelberg in 1983, is a meteorologist, aspiring astronaut and knowledge facilitator. At the University of Bonn, she coordinates the University Partnership for Atmospheric Sciences and researches climate change and health. At the same time, she is preparing for her first flight into space. She has been hosting the »Stardust« podcast with Linda Zervakis since 2022.
