Exclusive club show in Berlin
Singer/songwriter Indigo De Souza has developed her own individual sound. Catchy and genre-spanning, she gets the right thing from rock, pop, especially neo-soul and grunge for her songs and combines these genres into a happy, but often subliminally frightening carousel of great melodies and swinging harmonies. This fits perfectly with her authentic lyrics, which De Souza writes from her soul.
Raw and radically upbeat, the eleven songs on their third album All Of This Will End deal with one's own mortality and rejuvenation through community, and with focusing on what really matters.
The tracks draw inspiration from intense moments in her life: childhood memories, travel, and times when she had to stand up for herself. Indigo De Souza tells her stories with warmth, detaches herself from her past and is grateful for a present in which she feels everything and develops a loving awareness. Pure poetry, then, whose hermetic nature is largely dissolved by the musical effect.
Indigo De Souza has a knack for amplifying and clarifying the mood of her lyrics through the impact of sound. On the new work, she sheds all reservations and goes a few steps further. The songs cover the full range of human emotions.
There is no longer only pain and sadness, there is also almost triumphant joy. Everything comes to an end at some point, the title of the record conveys, but the pieces say that everything can be experienced until then. This makes "All Of This Will End" a melancholic masterpiece that surprises with its positivity.
