Imperfectly told by the Kurd Sema, who wanted to be a dancer since childhood, but has become a war reporter. Because of her critical reporting, she was threatened and had to leave the country in which she lived.
After many years of loneliness in the new country, Sema finds that she has lost her voice and mobility and begins to search within her body for the Kurdish dances, songs and Alevi ritual of her childhood.
Imperfect/KêmSema is a movement and sound research that is a revival and reinterpretation of the piece Imperfect, which premiered in 2020 as a theatrical narrative.
