Hildegard Knef is one of Berlin's most remarkable personalities. The guided tour "Heimweh nach dem Kurfürstendamm" follows in the footsteps of her eventful life and career.

Berliners affectionately called her "our little Hildchen". Hildegard Knef, the first nude actress in German film, the "greatest singer without a voice" and bestselling author of several books. The ups and downs of her career, the highs and lows in her private life have always made her strong for life, for survival.

The tour follows in the footsteps of Hildegard Knef. Around the Memorial Church, where the memorial service was held in February 2002, she visits places that remind us of her life and work. Such as cinemas, theatres and a well-known hotel, which became a stage for fateful events for her. A fortune teller in the neighbourhood was one of her most important addresses.

On a tour, we revive important stations of the versatile artist. Starting point: Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. Then to the "Zoo-Palast" and other former cinemas on Kurfürstendamm as well as the former "Hotel Kempinski". The tour ends by passing the "Theater des Westens" at the "Renaissance-Theater" on Knesebeck Straße.

In addition to the stories from times gone by, her thoughts and texts have not lost any of their topicality.
