When the world weighs heavily on your shoulders, your legs have to bounce more lightly to the beat. With Steady As She Goes comes a disco-folk album from Berlin-based Holler My Dear that weaves the dreary status quo into bouncy tunes.

With hi-hats and trumpets - and, of course, accordion - the versatile six dance delicately on the filter bubble at the same time and yet are decidedly political; play acoustic and still disco. The seaman's album title ("keeping the ship on course") doesn't talk about linear stability, but rather about high waves and the stability that you find in swaying. The world keeps turning, the beat goes on, the journey continues: Laura

Winkler's silky, athletic singing hovers between escapism and escalation, paints with lutes, makes loud things sound gentle and can sometimes be on the floor. In the end, no battle cry is more powerful than a danceable punch line with grooves and funky guitars rolling into the sunset.

"You sow the seeds of discord?

We sow the seeds of disco.”
