Ruth Wolf-Rehfeldt
The artist Ruth Wolf-Rehfeldt (* 1932, Wurzen), who has lived in Berlin for more than 70 years, will be honored with the Hannah Höch Prize 2022 for her extensive oeuvre, which includes paintings, drawings and, in particular, typewriter graphics created from 1972 to 1989. On the occasion of the award ceremony, the artist will receive a solo exhibition at the Kupferstichkabinett of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin.

Like a spider in a web
Wolf-Rehfeldt's typewritings seek proximity to visual and concrete poetry, tend toward the abstract, the concrete, and the architectural, and are expanded into collages, especially in the 1980s. With these graphics, Wolf-Rehfeldt actively participated in the GDR's Mail Art program and built up an extensive communication network that spanned the globe.
