Anastacia Wairimu Nganga engages with the shared cultural traditions and values and the mutuality of different languages across Africa and Asia. She grew up speaking Swahili and ever since has been fascinated by this language that is rooted along the coastlines of the Indian Ocean.
In this tour, Anastacia Wairimu Nganga will look at the connecting elements of societies shaped by the history of the Swahili language and relate them to the artistic positions in the exhibition.
