During the week of Earth Overshoot Day, Grotest Maru presents the impressive piece "Global Amazonia" - a captivating production in the air and on the ground that artistically deals with the issues of climate change and species extinction. The event takes place on the grounds of the "Stasi Headquarters. Campus for Democracy" and is accompanied by guided tours of the grounds in advance.

"Global Amazonia" takes the audience into a world in which aerial acrobats explore their biotope on vertical surfaces as playful geckos. They join a climate activist and fight together for their living space.
This associative simultaneous theater combines breathtaking aerial performances, vertical theatre, interactive actions on the ground, impressive video projections and an intense, stirring soundtrack.
Grotest Maru was founded in Berlin in 1996 and is known for creating theater in public spaces, including image, object and physical theatre.
